30 Day Wellness Challenge

We're onto week five (!!!) of the Wellness Challenge! Have you managed a challenge each week? Perhaps you've managed a few! Let us know what you've been getting up to so we know how you've found it.

Let's recap the challenges from the last week where we focussed on 'Giving to others'.

Week 4 - Give to others

Feel free to start on the 30 day challenge even if you've joined us a little late, all the info can be found over on our instagram page and the BBC Website.


Giving to others doesn't have to be something expensive or even take lots of planning, you can throw out smiles and compliments... jokes might take a little planning though! Don't want to pull a Marlin


If you have a little more time you could spend some time volunteering in your local community. We actually had a call for volunteers from the Greenham Trust to help out with their 10k and family fun runs! Perhaps you can help out... it's not until Sunday 13th of October, so plenty of time to get involved! Greenham Trust 10k & Family Fun Run

There is also a fantastic website called Do It which helps you search for volunteering opportunities in your area! You can also find volunteers if you need them and get updated with charity news and campaigns!

Week 5 - Be Mindful

"It can be easy to rush through life without stopping to notice much. Paying more attention to the present moment - to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you - can improve your mental wellbeing."


This 👏 is 👏 hard 👏 and it takes some practise to slow down. Life is really busy and there's always something to look at, engage with, worry about etc. etc! Some of the challenges this week may seem obvious but just like with all of the challenges, it's about allocating time specifically for the task at hand. If it doesn't work, it doesn't matter; you don't have to do it again. If it does work, then it was worth it. Make note of what it was and keep making time for it, for as long as it works for you.

As we venture into our last week, keep this in mind...
